In 8th grade art, students experience a variety of materials and techniques. In this grouping, you will find some examples of visual perspective: one point perspective words and two point perspective mazes. The pencil drawings are an interesting way to use value and blending on a simple contour drawing: students create a linear drawing, then add criss crossing lines over the drawing - this creates new negative and positive spaces. The students use contrast to fill in those spaces with ebony pencil and then smudge it to create a gradual value from light to dark.
